Patience is a virtue
Let me start by admitting the only time you could use the word "patient" to describe me is at the doctor's office. I'm a stickler for a schedule and I don't care for having to repeat myself, along with a few other quirks that scream: "no patience"!

Serenity Now
One of the things I've always carried in my heart was my Gram's favourite prayer. Whether it really is called the Serenity Prayer and whether it continues past the word "difference", I don't know, but I found this version online and really related to it. I have appended this to be totally non-secular, because I believe the message transcends religion:

I'm not sure I always know the difference, but at least I'm examining it! There are many things in life we think we can control, but cannot. My New Year's Resolution this year is to learn the difference.
